CLARK COUNTY, WA May 1st, 2026— Future 42 Clark County today announced the publication of its inaugural local government scorecards evaluating the records of the Vancouver City Councilmembers and the Clark County Councilmembers. The scorecards launch a new annual project aimed at providing Clark County voters with transparent, nonpartisan evaluations of their local elected officials’ performance on key issues affecting the community.

The scorecards were developed to give residents clear insight into how local leaders are voting on major policy issues. They build on the success of Future 42’s previous legislative scorecards assessing Clark County’s state representatives and senators and expand the effort to the local level. The evaluations focus on votes on taxes, regulations, housing affordability, public safety, infrastructure, and other critical local priorities.
“Publishing these Council scorecards is an important step in increasing government accountability right here at home,” said Leslie Lewallen, Director of Future 42 Clark County. “Voters deserve straightforward information to make informed decisions. These annual scorecards will serve as a reliable, year-over-year resource to track performance and encourage policies that help Clark County families and businesses thrive.”
The scorecards are publicly available on the Future 42 website at future42.org/clarkscorecards and include detailed breakdowns of key votes and actions, along with explanations of the criteria used for evaluation. Future 42 Clark County plans to update and release the scorecards annually to support ongoing education and engagement efforts.
Future 42 Clark County invites residents, media, and community leaders to review the scorecards and participate in the conversation about building a more prosperous future for the region. For more information, interview requests, or access to the full scorecards, contact Leslie Lewallen through future42.org.
