Announcing Future 42 Snohomish County’s 2024 Scorecard for the Everett City Council
Future 42 Snohomish County is a local county project dedicated to advocating key issues such as public safety and tax relief. We are a grassroots effort mobilizing Snohomish County citizens to make their voices heard at the local level. We have recently completed our first set of local scorecards which highlight key votes taken by Councilmembers in 2024. Below are some of the key votes in Everett related to public safety and fiscal responsibility:
- Mandatory minimum sentencing for repeat criminal offenders
- Flock camera program to combat crimes such as vehicle thefts
- Removal of the Clark Park gazebo to reduce drug activity
- Waits Motel rezone to reduce drug activity
- 44% property tax levy lid lift ballot measure that voters defeated in the August primary election
- Incentivized city staff retirements to save taxpayer dollars
- 2025 city budget adoption
