Building the Infrastructure to Change Washington—Starting in Clark County

Project 42 appreciates your interest in the infrastructure we are building in Clark County and across the state that will help educate citizens on key issues and encourage engagement in a variety of ways.

Our Clark County Project was launched to lead the way in advocating for policy solutions at the local level which promote a more affordable cost of living, strong public safety, and a thriving business climate.

Project 42, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, has been created to change the course of Washington state by building a durable infrastructure through its capacities. The key components are: Policy Development, Strategic Communications, Media/Investigative Reporting, Data and Targeting, Legal/Litigation, Recruitment and Training, and Grassroots Mobilization.

Project 42 is identifying core capacities that need to be built or financed that will change the status quo over time:

  • Identify, vet, and invest in the most effective organizations to build capacities.
  • Run those organizations like businesses – creating goals and metrics to measure outcomes.
  • Act as a clearinghouse for donors. Supporters fund Project 42, and those dollars help fund vital capacities and their work in Clark County and around the state. With Project 42 oversight, long-term investments stay on course and deliver outcomes. This approach will maximize donor dollars, eliminate overlap, and develop centers of excellence within each organization.
  • Most importantly, the work of this durable infrastructure will never stop. Project 42 will continue to build for the long-term.

OUR IMPACT

Since launching in Summer 2025, Future 42 Clark County aims to bring balance to Clark County and our state. As a new chapter, this project is starting with an email database of several thousand persuadable voters in Clark County who are aligned with us on critical issues such as taxes, the economy, reducing regulatory barriers, and public safety.

In the future, we plan to host events to bring together elected officials, business leaders, and community activists to share policy priorities and raise funds locally to support our project.

We are planning a kick-off event later this fall and are sending regular Action Alerts to our Future 42 list in Clark County.

We issued our first Clark County legislative scorecard to hold our local state legislators accountable by highlighting their voting records from the 2025 legislative session and have begun tracking local government meeting agendas and identifying key votes and other actions being taken throughout Clark County.

WHY INVEST IN PROJECT 42/FUTURE 42 CLARK COUNTY?

  • Ends siloed efforts that don’t get results and don’t report back on how contributions were used, and if any impact was made.
  • Ends cyclical spending model and replaces it with a long-term model to deliver a durable infrastructure that has led to success in other states that will continue to build for the long- term.
  • Provides experienced oversight to ensure they are vetted and run like businesses – creating goals and metrics to measure outcomes.
  • Maximize and amplify donor dollars and eliminate and/or prevent overlapping efforts by similar organizations.
  • Committed to donor accountability with transparent analysis of contributions use and impact.

Project 42 respectfully requests that you make a contribution at any level to help us build this needed infrastructure in our state and support our Clark County Project.
