HB 2049 no longer triples how fast local governments can raise your property taxes. Instead, it was amended to give greater taxing power to school districts—granting them expanded authority to drive your tax bill even higher.

Although it passed in the House, many lawmakers who regularly vote for tax increases voted against this bill. Why? Because they know Washingtonians are watching—and we’re fed up.
