Olympia Madness: On to the Deadweight Eight

Olympia Madness: On to the Deadweight Eight

Round 1 of Olympia Madness is in the books. Washingtonians voted on the 16 worst bills lawmakers proposed this legislative session, and we now present to you:

Round 2 kicks off today, with Rep. Jake Fey’s Vehicle Mileage tax going up against a double-team effort to raise your property taxes from Sen. Jamie Pederson and Rep. Steve Bergquist.

Given the overwhelming response we’ve heard from you so far on property taxes (the most “oppose” committee sign-ins in Washington Senate history!), that might be tough to beat. But if anything can topple it, it’s probably the effort to monitor – and tax – your odometer.

Voting is now open on X and Instagram!

We started Olympia Madness because the people of Washington deserve to know what nonsense our elected officials are up to and who specifically is leading the fight.

You can see full details, including links and descriptions for all the bills featured in Olympia Madness here.

Voting will continue on our X and Instagram channels every MondayWednesday, and Friday.

Make sure to follow and keep voting!

And share Olympia Madness with your family and friends, and tell them to vote too.

The more awareness we drive to Washington’s madness, the better odds we can turn this “game” around!
