Future 42 – Whatcom County announces new Project Director

Project 42 is pleased to announce Hannah Ordos as its new Future 42 Whatcom County Project Director. Ordos brings a wealth of leadership experience and love for her community through service to this role.

You may recognize Ordos as she ran for the Whatcom County at-large council seat in 2023.  She is known for her commitment to attending council meetings for over three years and understanding the issues her community faces as a priority. She currently volunteers as a Support Officer for Community Care (supportofficer.org), Be the One mentor and serves on the advisory board for North Sound Behavioral Health. In addition to her volunteer work, she has more than two decades of leadership experience across four industries. She graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Human Resource Mgmt. and holds several certifications. She has a solid perspective on how local and state government can affect our businesses and communities’ ability to thrive.

This role was previously held by former Senator Simon Sefzik. We wish him well as he begins law school at the University of Virginia.
