2025 Lynnwood City Council Scorecard

Future 42 Snohomish County is a local county project dedicated to advocating for key issues such as public safety, government transparency, and tax relief. We are a grassroots effort mobilizing Snohomish County citizens to make their voices heard at the local level. We have recently completed our second annual set of local scorecards which highlight key votes taken by Councilmembers in 2025. It is important to note that Josh Binda was defeated by challenger Bryce Owings in his recent re-election bid. It should be clear to Councilmembers that voters are paying close attention to their voting records. Here is our recently published scorecard for the Lynnwood City Council:

What were some of the key Lynnwood City Council votes in 2025?

A – Proposal of an amendment to eliminate residency requirements for City Councilmembers (F42 opposed).

B – Proposal of a budget amendment to increase property taxes by 53% (F42 opposed).

C – Approval of a 67% utility tax increase (F42 opposed).

D – Approval of $2 million in new taxes & fees administered by the City’s Business Development Services department (F42 opposed).

E – Approval of a 33% increase for business license fees (F42 opposed).
